I wanted to make this first post a introduction to my blog and describe what you can expect from it.I'll cover topics on stock market investing with a focus on a more intermediate strategy called " covered calls." I'll use a model portfolio on google finance and track its performance on a ongoing basis .I'll also cover various investing topics that will be of benefit such as diversification, order types, timing and relevant ideas.
The model portfolio was created in google finance on 10-13-2013 and the quotes represent current market price.The positions include Dreamworks Animation, Web.com, Nutrisystem and Green Plains Renewable Energy. They were selected for their recent performance along with cost of ownership and availability of options.The model portfolio has a starting value of $20,000. Please note all positions displayed are for educational purpose only and do not constitute a buy recommendation.
